Managed a crew of 30 employees for the operation of 35 machines, (3 accumulator head blow molders 15-35 pound heads, 7 structural foam machines 350 ton dual extruder 1,000 tons, and 25 injection molding machines from 75-720 tons). Reviewed and approved capital equipment purchases for machines and auxiliary equipment. Coordinated start-ups with OEM and trained maintenance and machine operators. Established operational procedures and used lean principles to optimize running parameters and work processes while doing 12 mold changes a day. Hands on calibrations of several types of PLCs and trouble-shooting of electrical malfunctions and hydraulic servo valve issues.

As owner, I serviced the blow molding and packaging industries. We installed and started up new operations and provided technical assistance to a broad customer base throughout the United States. We moved over 20 blow molding machines doing the unwiring and rigging from 5 different locations. Rebuilt several Bekum blow molders, shipping and installing the machines in Canada. We commissioned two gas turbine start-ups in Alaska and New York. Managed day-to-day fleet operations of a well service company during its start-up until its sale. Dispatched drivers, set-up the Qualcomm Satellite tracking system, purchased equipment and maintained repairs and preventative maintenance for the fleet.

Worked with the human resources department to successfully eliminate the union environment. Worked with retail customers to increase the number to stock keeping units (SKU) per store and installed point of sales supply chain replenishment methods.

I started with Westland Specialty Oil as Blow Molding and Special Projects Manager. Managed the construction of an additional 100,000 sq ft warehouse and blow molding operation. Purchased blow molding and auxiliary equipment, managed environmental safety, new product development, slotted warehouse installation and used oil collection. I was the leader of the transition from the sale of Westland to Quaker State.
As the Site Manager for Quaker State, I managed the day-to-day operations (with profit/loss responsibilities) of a 60 million gallons a year blending and packaging operation, including blending, environmental safety, procurement, supply chain management, transportation, human resources and SAP. Our plant was the first of the five Quaker State plants to become ISO 9001 certified. I managed the local needs for the merger between Quaker State and Pennzoil.
